The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
